Today it's super hot and humid in Michigan. This weather makes me want to eat salads and prep meals with as little heat as possible. I frequently keep canned and frozen ingredients on hand to throw together quick salads such as a Mexican Corn and Black Bean Salad. It's so easy to make a balanced meal out of simple ingredients with a little creativity and essential pantry staples.
The following recipe is based of a template for a 1,000 calorie recipe. The exact nutritional values have not been calculated. If calculating your blend is essential, please do so using the specific ingredients and amounts you blend. I expect many tubies and caregivers can use this recipe as a starting point and adapt it to fit your specific nutrient needs.
To celebrate Ellie's 2nd year of coming home from the hospital for the first time on July 7th, 2015, I thought I'd leak the news that I'm starting on a new tube feeding recipe project. The following is a VERY rough draft of what the recipes MIGHT look like. I'd appreciate your feedback if you try it.
If you're new here or you want to hear more about how I was inspired to start creating blenderized tube feeding recipes check out this video. Happy blending!
